Acolyte claims to be as old as mankind and has watched as our God brought misgivings to our world. His belief is that he needs to bring in a new God to replace the one we already have. His latest scheme (as seen in YJ #9 - #10) was to hypnotize 1 million children and have them kill there parents. In doing so would create the energy to bring back the dark god Kali, whole would destroy the Earth and claim it with her demons. To hypnotize the kids, Acolyte used an amulet to hypnotize kids using the kids tv show, the "Hugga-Tugga-Thugees". Before the quota could be reached, Young Justice was able to stop the transmitter from sending the signal, saving the kids and parents of the world from the dark god Kali, but not before Traya Smith, the stepdaughter of Red Tornado could toss her mother out of a 5th story window. With this scheme foiled, the Acolyte started work on planning the next scheme to bring in a dark god.
The Acolyte looked well built, but showed very
little in the way of hand-to-hand fighting skills. But does have an
eye-beam attack that was capable of firing an electric attack. |
